Crisis management. PR and reputation management
Stephen was Communications Director for the Cutty Sark Trust from 2005 until late 2010. In May 2007 he was called upon to manage the crisis caused by the fire on the ship. He was in the media spotlight for two years following the fire and helped to raise £12m for the project.
His experience of crisis planning, management and crisis PR has lead to numerous talks upon the subject as a result of the Cutty Sark being held up as an example of best practice and great success.
